The Cambridgeshire Foster Carers Association (CFCA) was formed as a voluntary organisation in 2019 to support Foster Carers and their families and any children they care for. The CFCA is run ‘By Carers for Carers‘, they are made up of a group of carers who are a committed to supporting our carers.
The CFCA works in partnership with Fostering Services and other members of the Child’s Team representing the views and recommendations of carers to help improve the support and service of Cambridgeshire carers and ensure that we put forward the views of our Children in Care (CiC). Our aim is to raise the profile of the Foster Carer to ensure they are viewed as fellow professionals by social workers and other involved members of the Childs team.
The CFCA was created to recognise the need to look after our Carers and give them all the support, help and advice possible.
What We Aim To Do
Local Meetings
Monthly meetings virtual and face to face to air your questions, opinions or grievances in a safe space or just to catch up with people who understand including representatives from relevant departments within Children Services
Support Network
Involvement in CFCA means you become part of a fostering community who come from with different experiences and knowledge, giving you the assurance that you are not on your own and that support is always available
Advice Available
Advice is always on hand from other carers in CFCA to help you through any difficulties you may be having and how to resolve them through our Facebook page; Cambridgeshire Foster Carers Association

Membership
CFCA membership is open to Cambridgeshire County Council foster carers living in Cambridgeshire and those who live outside the County, including: Foster Carers, Kinship Carers, Family Link Carers and Supported Lodgings Carers
